Gulf provide the haulage systems at St Ives with 12 surface Road Trains, 13 Loaders, 1 Grader and 3 Excavators.
7 million tonnes are hauled for crushing each year and Gulf Road Trains are required to tip directly into the crusher.
The Gulf Group St Ives team has approximately 84 people working on site and is made up of both local and fly in & fly out personal.
As well as haulage Gulf St Ives looks after road maintenance, rock breaking, float movements and many other miscellaneous earth works.
Cave Rocks is situated 34km from St Ives gold mine.
Cave Rocks is an open cut and underground operation. 2 road trains currently haul around 1000 ton of ore per day from Cave Rocks to the crusher at St Ives, which requires them to come back through the local township of Kambalda.
