GEMCO operates an open cut mine located on Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria off the coast of Australia's Northern Territory. The Groote Eylandt Mining Company Pty Ltd (GEMCO) - jointly owned by BHP Billiton (60 per cent) and Anglo American Corporation (40 per cent) - is one of the world's leading suppliers of manganese ore.

Two Quads carting about 22 - 24 thousand tonne of Manganese a month, on highway with a approximate 35km lead we cart the Manganese from the stockpiles from the RIM pad and tip off down at the wharf. The Manganese is then loaded by a front end loader into a hopper which then loads the ships.
