The Bootu Creek Mine site is owned by owned by OM Manganese Ltd and is located approximately 900km’s south of Darwin.
Gulf provides a four pronged role at Bootu Creek hauling over 200,000 tonnes a month of manganese ore. Firstly ore is loaded and hauled 10km to the ROM pad then processed ore is then hauled 50km to the rail siding where Gulf loads 4 trains per week. In addition Gulf provides road maintenance to both haul roads.
Gulf Transport (NT) man the site with a team of 27 and the following equipment, two 2.5m Power trailers, three Quad Road trains, one Triple Road train, four CAT 988H Frontend Loaders, a Grader and Water Cart.
